This Pyeco logo was created in about 10 minutes while sipping coffee at 9:00 AM.

Pyeco

Pyeco started as a nickname. At the time, I was using my education, working for a great engineering company. I had about as good a job as I could imagine. I was paid well, treated amazingly, not expected to work excessive hours, travelled (Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard are still favourite "work" locations) but at the end of almost every day I found myself piecing together another business plan. I would talk about my ideas with close friends at work. Pyeco became the nickname.

Somewhere deep inside a yearning to be in business has been with me since high school or perhaps earlier. I never dreamed of being rich. It was never an escape from a work world I didn't like. Being "in business" has always been attractive because of the opportunity for creative thinking and working with a niche within the mass' psychology.

I really don't know what you're doing on this website. I put it "out there" with no expectation that it will be seen. It is more a personal journal to keep the creative juices flowing, remind myself of "what" and "why" I do the things I do.

So if you want to see what my thoughts are, my goals, my ideas, my influences... I guess you can read on.

Minestead.

I love old buildings. Especially the little, cute ones on main streets all over the west from the days of the wild west.

Minestead is a business of 3 holiday vacation suites in a 1927 commercial building we have completely restored in the ghost-town of Bellevue, Alberta (Crowsnest Pass).

The project is still underway. The building's exterior has been almost completely made over. Now we're working towards finishing the suites.
